Pitch Lesson with Mary

In the lesson on Monday 19th January 2009 with Mary, we had to finish planning our pitch. In my group, we used this as an opportunity to designate different roles to different people in the group and I took on the role of telling the ‘investor’ the main plot and themes of our thriller and the variety of different camera shots and angles that were to be used. Whilst delivering the pitch some of our initial ideas had been challenged and this made us think and ask ourselves questions. After thinking thoroughly about how we was to put our whole scene together we decided that it was too similar to a thriller made by previous students and also that it would not get us the best of grades. This lead to us taking drastic action and scrapping the whole political/supernatural thriller ideas that we had. Our task was to now go home and think of a completely new thriller, this left us very far behind the rest of the groups in the class.
